Op.Dr. Yahya Melih Işık

Born on 13 June 1994 in the Karşıyaka district of İzmir, Op. Dr. Yahya Melih Işık completed his primary and secondary education in Karşıyaka. In 2008 he enrolled at Çanakkale Science High School in Çanakkale, his hometown, and graduated in 2012.

He continued his medical education at the Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine, graduating in 2018. After graduation, he completed his compulsory service at the Ayvacık District Health Centre in Çanakkale and the Küçükkuyu Emergency Service of Ayvacık State Hospital.

With his success in the Medical Specialty Examination, he began his residency training at the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic of Ankara Training and Research Hospital. He completed his specialty thesis titled "Investigation of the effect of autologous conditioned serum (ACS) on tendon adhesion in an experimental model created by tendon incision in the hind legs of rats." Throughout his residency he took part in numerous national and international congresses, furthering his academic development, and in May 2024 he was awarded the title of Specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

As of July 2024, Op. Dr. Işık began working at the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic of Kayseri City Hospital, where he served as the sole surgeon for 18 months. During this period, in the field of aesthetic surgery he performed operations such as piezo- and micromotor-assisted rhinoplasty, breast augmentation with implants and temporal lift, and, within reconstructive surgery, advanced procedures including the treatment of multiple facial fractures due to head trauma (Le Fort fractures), jaw fractures, the surgical treatment of skin cancers and the repair of large tissue defects.

Having completed his compulsory state service, Op. Dr. Yahya Melih Işık currently sees patients at his own private practice.
